Officiating FAIL
Posted by Henry on Tuesday, January 05, 2010 @ 07:31:58 CST (49 reads)
Football

For the third time in less than a week, I turned off a college football game due to bad officiating. Less than 15 minutes into last night's Fiesta bowl, it was obvious to me that the officiating crew wanted Boise State to beat TCU, so I simply turned off the game and went about some other business.

If the NCAA won't do something about this problem, the sponsors will, trust me. Prospective customers all over the country will be doing the same as me, turning the channel. Return on Investment for sponsorships and commercials will go down (I've never been convinced that big name sponsorships sells more product anyways, I am no more likely to buy a Papa John's pizza now than before they sponsored a bowl), and as a result, sponsors will no longer pay the money being asked for sponsorships of the big bowl games required to keep these games afloat.

So here, NCAA. You'd better do something about this problem, or there'll be coal in your bowl season stocking in a few years... I know there won't be any Tostitos in my house for the forseeable future.

Flasha Picks Games Skilfully
Posted by henry on Friday, August 29, 2008 @ 14:15:45 CDT (264 reads)
Football flasha writes "Flasha picks the winners skilfully just as he did the last 3 seasons. In fact Flasha is so good at picking the winners he is just like a weather forecaster determining where a hurricane might land and the intensity of the hurricane. In an interview with Henry it also became known that Flasha had the 90% pool locked up 2 years ago going into the last week of the season and all he had to do was not pick any games and he would be the winner, but alas he made awful picks and dropped out of first place the last week. Flasha said "It would not have been fair to sit with the game won and not give anyone else a chance". Flasha is honing his skills for this season and is checking the maps to make winning forecasts."
